You & Me

This week at FROSTED DESIGNS our Fabulous Friday challenges is to use GRIDs..(or a grid)...

I love the linear look of a grid...no surprise there huh?   So, for this one, I decided to block the whole page in a grid pattern.  I cut squares and pieced them onto the paper, sometimes using several "matching" pieces next to each other to give some uniformity and the illusion of larger spaces.  I also left a few of the squares blank.  I added some embellishments and strategically placed some fun X's stitched on with my sewing maching.

Well...I've been MIA for a while, huh?  Still scrapping, but just don't want to post something everyday..so only sharing the "off cycle" layouts when I have a DT layout to post on a certain day...

So today is my week for Sketches in Thyme and it's our turn for a 2-pager..

So, I've been MIA from blog land...  still feeling under the weather...think we have some info on what's up though...but more Dr appts and hassles to figure it out!!

So, in Feb, we had a crop at Memorable Seasons...  I didn't complete all the challenges, but I did most of them.  Here are the layouts (and a project) that I completed for the crop...(Plus one I posted previously that was one of my DT challenges)...

School 3-Peat

So today at SKETCHES IN THYME we have the sketch below....  oh my...I was freaking myself out with this one!!  I actually did a layout that I HATED (you probably won't see that one posted here..lol!!)  ....  so I tried it again...and I"m really thrilled with how it turned out.  See it below!!  I like it so much that I'm going to submit it to SNR magazine for a call in the future for "multiple pics" on a page.  I thought this was a unique and fun way to show that!!  Thanks to Tiffany for another sketch to get me out of my box and "challenge" me!!  (that's what it's about, right?!!)

So the pics here are from December 2011 at Joseph's school assembly.

1) He had a speaking part in their little play

2) He got perfect attendance award

3) He got Student of the Month (surprise)

Hence...the 3 Peat title.

Papers & embellies are Little Yellow Bicycle school line from last summer.
