Ok...I'll tell the news first..... I can happily announce that I'll be joining the Design Team at
MEMORABLE SEASONS -- So excited, so honored and so proud to be part of this team. And the store ROCKS...Where else can you get "just released" product for 20% off...I mean she gets it in, and lists it for 20% off...not that you have to wait 6 months for a sale. .... and speaking of sales.... VERY OFTEN Jill has a sale and puts all the new stuff on sale too....what? Yep, not kidding...you can very often get product that is only a few months old for 40% off.... And we have a very fun Message Board too... not too big and not too small.....like Goldilocks said "Just Right"!!! If you visit, please be sure to say that I sent you!!
Ok..on to some layouts:
SCRAPBOOKERS ANONYMOUS November challenge is to use HOLIDAY paper on a non-holiday layout. Well, I love die-cut paper, so I bought this Halloween paper from Pink Paislee's Hocus Pocus line...and we don't really celebrate Halloween. So I used it here with the center cut out for a layout about our new hamster.
One of the very talented ladies, Carol Sheetz, over at the Memorable Seasons board did her first sketch ...It's really awesme and it's posted at the
CLIP IT UP blog. I liked it so much I printed it out and it didn't sit too long on my sb table before it turned into this layout: (Glitz papers, Studio Calico Wood stars, ..oh, I actually cut the paper in the circle shape..I was trying to just score it but I pressed too hard..oh, well..it turned out ok!)
And I did 2 sketches over at
SKETCH SAVVY that I wanted to share:
Ok, we're not cat people, but Lions are cats right? I pulled out these old photos of Joseph.
This layout I made for William, the adoption counselor at the Arizona Humane Society (where we adopted Ella, the hamster). He mentioned that he always gets photos of dogs & cats in their "new homes" but never of "critters". So I made him this layout (words in the voice of the hamster) and dropped it off the other day.
(Used Teresa Collines Celebrate line)
Over at
MEMORABLE SEASONS Megan hosted a challenge this week to use a "grid" design on your layout. So, I did this one...pretty simple, but I got stuck at the end and didn't want to "over kill" it, so it's DONE. I'm ok with that...
Also, Kristin at Memorable Seaons hosted a challenge to do a mini with stripes & 3 diff color flowers...
