Best 50 cents ever....

Our challenge at FROSTED DESIGNS this week is to use Washi tape...
I used Queen & Co and some Hambly tapes layered at the bottom of this layout.
The story is about how Daddy found this Boogie Board at a Yard Sale about a month before we went on vacation and got it for 50 cents!!!  Knowing we were going to the beach and it was in almost new condition, it was a great buy.  After 1 or 2 trips in the ocean, Joseph called it "the best 50 cents ever spent"... LOL!!

Ending June at Memorable Seasons...

So for my June DT kit at MEMORABLE SEASONS I had gotten the American Crafts Amy Tan Sketchbook line....I've previously shared a few of the layouts..and here is the rest of what I made with that line.

And for July... I got Little Yellow Bicycle's SPLASH line...really cool after just getting back from an "ocean" vacation...  Here is the first layout & card that I made for July... and watch for more to come...

And over at THINKING THROUGH DESIGN our thought this week is "grounding"... as in grounding your photos...  Here is my thought and my layout...

I wanted to ground my son in this photo, so I let the busier end of the photo hang onto the busy patterned paper so it blends in.  I utilized a large grey area to vertically ground my son on the right side.  I added a lighter color to give the eye a place to rest.  I also added all my embellishments to "his end", to give that side some visual weight and draw the eye.  I also kept the vertical theme by adding my title vertically.

Thanks for coming by... See ya soon!
