End of September projects & MS&M

Well, I think I'm done for September....we're going to be really busy this week and out of town next weekend, so I probably won't get to crop until next week.... but here is some that I got done last week:

Greetings from sunny Arizona...where it still feels like mid-summer....seriously!!!

I'm so thankful for Air Conditioning although my wallet isn't so happy about the size of our electric bill this time of year...LOL!!  So what's a better excuse than the heat to stay indoors and scrap til I'm silly?!!!

Sometimes I like to get a little grungy with my projects...here is one where I was just playing and had no real plan for my layout and what came together makes me smile!

I started with some corrugated cardboard, ripped some holes into it and backed those with patterned paper.

I stitched around the border and my photo to keep that all attached to the cardstock base.

I added Ink Spray - green spritzed through a 12x12 stencil and then I mixed the same green with beaded glass gel medium to get that dark texture effect in the ripped areas.

I also spritzed some of the white in a few spots.

I added some additional texture using molding paste and a stencil.  And I LOVED adding the larger UmWow Chipboard arrows to this project.

So don't forget that you can use your mists/sprays for more than just spritzing on your pages.  I loved the effect I got by mixing mine with a different textured medium.

And I gotta tell you...these Ranger Dylusions sprays are gorgeous!!

First a couple for My Scraps and More - Sketch Blog

Sketch #45

The background is modeling paste mixed with paint through a mask for the bricks.

Then the "gross gum" is melted crayons...some just dripped by themselves and some dripped over a pile of modeling paste to simulate the "gum"....  GROSS!!  But...a memory, so I guess it's scrap worthy!

Let's also try to use those items as their own elements....meaning that arrows or polka dots on your patterned paper don't count as arrows or circles.

I love the My Mind's Eye Cut and Paste line and used it here for my sample layout.  I chose a small photo and used it with the large SMILE journal card and layered some of the other papers.

Well, since my DT's have all been dwindling, I've been playing along with challenges on different Message Boards.  So, I wanted to be sure to come back & post my layouts here for all prosperity...and for Grandma and Grandpa to see....
