CHALLENGES EVERYWHERE!!!!

Well...this post is going to have a few layouts that I've done for challenges.....  I don't want to do separate posts for each....so I hope you don't mind viewing them all!!  FIRST THOUGH, I'm going to show 2 other layouts that did NOT NEED to be posted on my blog for linking purposes, but I wanted to share them anyway.

BONUS LAYOUT 1)  I used my Scrapbook Circle kit for this...Joseph came up with the title (too cute)...This layout is currently the layout that is "TO BE SCRAPLIFTED" (called Pagerize) over at SCRAP OUR STASH  -- I got to post the layout to be lifted since I won the "lift" challenge last month!! Nice!!

BONUS LAYOUT #2)  -- Ok this layout was done for a challenge at Club CK that I didn't combine with any other challenges.  The challenge had several different tips you could choose from.  I chose to "mist" over chipboard letters (I actually used a scrap of lace cardstock)...  I also used Websters Pages papers, which are usually really hard for me to use...but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, so I wanted to share it here!!

OK...NOW LET'S GET TO MY CHALLENGE LAYOUTS!!!!!!

1)  MY FAVORITE THINGS challenge is your favorite POEM....  I chose the obvious and loved that I was able to use a photo of Joseph at the beach this summer.  I like how this turned out nice and simple...(Thanks Julie!!)

2)  DESIGN DOLLIES sketch this week (below my layout)....and Club CK challenge to re-use packaging and also over at the fabulous SCRAPFIT ...their workout #28 is to used recyled packaging and green...  

I used the cardboard that the Jillibean Soup corrugated shapes came in (the big scallop in the lower left)..

I acutally had this layout started (without the sketch) and then I was kinda stuck...so then I saw the sketch and went "wa-la" and added the frame around the title...

3)  DESIGN DOLLIES color challenge this week is BURGANDY, YELLOW & BLACK (white optional)...well, I rembered have getting a "free" kit at CK Convention back in April that had Black, White & Yellow, so I dug it out...it is a Storytellers Kit.  I used this weeks SKETCHES IN THYME sketch.  It's a stretch for me to use this kit...all flat die cuts....but with the added pleated stitched ribbon (yes, I did that myself), I really kinda like it.

4) This weeks sketch at THE SCRAPPIEST --  I flipped & rotated the sketch (i'm showing it regular and flipped so you can see what I did)

Grandsons & Pure Bliss....

This is Design Team Friday!!!   So 2 of the DT's that I'm on post on Fridays.....

Here they are...(in no particular order)....

1)  FROSTED DESIGNS  -- this week is to use Peach & Cream and ribbon & something sparkly.  ...now I thought long and hard about this one...having a boy...all boy!!   I ended up with this softer, sweeter picture & layout using MME products & a few flowers.  I did wrap ribbon around one of the diecuts and added some glitter to a chipboard circle at the upper right.  -- oh and when I took this photo, and I looked at the screen...I almost deleted it since Joseph had his eyes closed...but his smile was sweet so I saved it.  Glad I did....

2)  ALPHABET CHALLENGE -- V is for VINTAGE this week....  ok...I have no older pictures and nothing really vintage-y.....just not really my style.  But I found a few things and went with it.  The Brown background is done by laying some lacy fabric on the paper and misting through it and then removing it.

This week at SKETCHES IN THYME they have this cute sketch...and I already had out my Bo Bunny Sunkissed line from a layout I did earlier (yes, this was my 5th layout on Saturday)...  and I also had a pack of OLD photos of Joseph and I just couldn't resist.... (yes, I used PURPLE)

Also, I had another 2 pager to do (due to the number of photos), so I again used a sketch from SKETCH SAVVY ... (yes the same one I used last week....why shouldn't I use the same sketch...IT"S PERFECT!!)
When I took these pictures IN SAN FRAN back in June, I already had mentioned the title of the layout...DREAM BOAT vs. REALITY BOAT....I just finally got around to doing the layout.  October Afternoon Seaside.

Saturday layouts....

So, after doing family stuff in the morning on Saturday, I met with some gals that I've been chatting with online and visiting blogs...etc...  Julie & Paige.  It was the first time I had met them and we spent a few hours scrapping.  We had a great time chatting and here are the 4 layouts I started (in 4 hours) and I finished them up at home....

1)  DESIGN DOLLIES - color challenge (RED, ORANGE, BLUE & GREEN) and used SCRAPPIEST sketch #81.

2)  MEMORABLE SEASONS (Where I shop for my sb supplies)...  sketch challenge

3)  SKETCHY THURSDAY & also this will be my entry for the CLUB CK ISSUE CHALLENGE this week which is using "smaller" photos.

4)  DESIGN DOLLIES sketch challenge

ADORABLE & SOUR -- !!

This week at FROSTED DESIGNS our challenge is to cut up a photo...well, I cut one "out" instead of up.
I made this shadow box using My Minds Eye products & lots of foam tape.

And at ALPHABET CHALLENGE .. our challenge is U for Unused Stash. 
So I used some old Fancy Pants felt & some weird acrylic brackets & circles that I had in a baggie..(yep, that's "stash").... some old Sassafras papers....  (these photos are Joseph & John trying the grapes before they ripened......someone has to test them!)

OK..found a fun new challenge site called TWISTED SKETCHES  --- here are 2 that I've done this week using their sketches....

1)  Sketch #65 - the twist is METAL

So I used this old photo of Joseph and used a METAL lock brad in my title.

2)  Sketch #66 - Twist is Fabric

Used Scrap within Reach Industrial line & some cording as my fabric element.

3 layouts in this post for different sketch challenges...  I'm going to put them in order of my favorite ... most to least.  NOT the sketches...but rather my favorite of how my layouts turned out.  This is in NO WAY intended to reflect on the wonderful-ness of the sketches....but rather my interpretation of them.

1)  DESIGN DOLLIES  -- using CRATE Restoration line from my Sept SCRAPBOOK CIRCLE kit!!

2)  SKETCHES IN THYME -- using Bo Bunny Block Party  -- (I'm trying like crazy to "use up" this line of paper, but it never ends!!....does that mean I bought too much??)

3) SKETCHY THURSDAYS  (one of my FAV sketch sites)...I just really struggled with this one...don't know why?  So instead of trying to "fancy it up"...I just called it DONE!

Perspective & Our Crooked Journey !!!

Ok..here are 2 layouts I did using sketches from SKETCH SAVVY ... JUST FOR FUN!!!!  NO challenges involved!!!

YES...I did a 2 page layout!!!!  (yea!!!)    --  Little Yellow Bicycle Pack Your Bags line (mostly)

When I saw the color challenge this week at DESIGN DOLLIES  -- Green, Grey & White...I thought...nah...I"ll pass on that one.  Well, I was sitting at my scrappin table w/nothing planned....and I thought about this color challenge...and I pulled out Basic Grey Oliver and found the PERFECT papers to match this challenge.  Not sure I'd have ever put these colors together....MAN..I do love challenges that stretch me OUT OF MY BOX!!!!   Here is what I ended up with....

Trees & Sunflowers!!!

This week at ALPHABET CHALLENGE blog our challenge is T = Trees.....

I have this Donna Downey foam stamp that I LOVE....so I used it here with a nice pic of Joseph and created a really simple page....  (I used Cosmo Cricket Earth Love for the letters, quote & embellie on the tree)... 

And...over at FROSTED DESIGNS our challenge this week is to use a "quote"... also this month we are trying to use digi stamps from our sponsor Robin's Fetish.  So I used this cute Sunflower digi and made bookmarks (with quotes) for Joseph's teacher to put in their 1st grade treasure box.  - Joseph thought it was cute that I colored the flowers in colors other than just yellow!!

What don't I love? ????

This month at SCRAP OUR STASH our challenge is BORDER PUNCHES.....  now I have to admit, I saw this idea somewhere...and I want to say it was Julie at Cosmo Cricket...but I can't be sure now.  But I remembered it....so I used 4 different border punches and also a heart punch ...  I layered, popped, wove some ribbon and ended up with this.  I gotta admit...I really like this one!!!
